“I’ve always kept myself busy with sports, from karate to swimming, then rugby and boxing. When I moved to Oxfordshire, I started at the local gym wanting to improve my body image and overall fitness. I didn't follow a plan, often plateaued and didn't have the knowledge to progress.
When lockdowns hit I struggled not being able to go to the gym. When we were allowed back, I wanted to hit the gym hard and make solid progress, so was willing to invest the time and effort needed, but knew it wasn’t a quick or easy process. I joined Puregym, and looked through the wall of PT’s, choosing Rory, as I believed he would be able to help me the best. I wasn't sure on my goals from the beginning, but I knew I wanted to be stronger.
Rory set out my macros and taught me tonnes of info to help me succeed. As we have progressed, adjustments have been made to the plan as needed - Rory is always on hand to help. The results I have achieved inspire me to keep going, driving me through each phase of the training. I can’t wait to see how far we can go and what we can achieve!”

“It’s pretty crazy to think about how far I’ve come… 6months ago I lost over half my blood and had two blood transfusions giving birth to my son after having to have an emergency c-section. I came pretty close to dying on that table. As the days were passing I was getting more and more unwell and still stuck in the hospital and after 5 days of agony they realised during the c section, my bowel had been scraped causing it to shut down, meaning I needed another surgery that I potentially wouldn’t survive.
Cutting a very long story short I had to have a physio come to me to help me get back on my feet and walk again. My mum was having to shower me and wash my hair. After two long weeks in the hospital with my newborn unable to care for him, I was finally allowed out but still struggled to pick up my son and couldn’t even walk to the local shop. I was also told absolutely no exercise for 6 weeks. This was devastating for me as I was previously a very fit healthy girl - I was even in the gym the day before I gave birth.
So guess where I was bang on 6 weeks later... yes, the gym! I took it slow but still went back to to the old plan Rory gave me, just did lighter weights, and if something hurt too much I stopped. After about a month and a half of training 4 times a week, I came back to Rory for help. I wanted to get the baby weight off and get back to me again!
Thanks to him I have lost lots of the weight and tightened up again. Looking at the photos does make me feel so proud of what I have achieved with Rory’s guidance and support - from barely being able to walk, to smashing all my PB’s better than before I was pregnant! I still have a very long way to go but feel so happy with where I am at and to see what Rory has in store for me next! If I can do it, anyone can. Watch this space!“
